Job Description

Teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Geomorphology, conducts research, supervises student projects, develops course materials, publishes scholarly work, participates in community service, and contributes to departmental and university activities.

Job Specification/Requirement

1. Applicants for the Lecturer position must: (a) Have a PhD with thesis in relevant areas of specialization from a reputable University; in addition to membership of professional bodies. (b) Have at least Two (2) years post-qualification teaching and research experience in an analogous institution of higher learning and have at least two (2) refereed publications in their areas of specialization.

Skills Required/Qualification

• Knowledge of geomorphological processes, landform development, and environmental change. • Competence in GIS, remote sensing, field surveying, and spatial data analysis. • Research and academic writing skills. • Effective teaching and student mentoring abilities. • Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
