Job Description

Teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Climatology, develops course materials, conducts research, supervises student projects, publishes scholarly work, participates in community service, and contributes to departmental and university activities.

Job Specification/Requirement

(a) Have a PhD with thesis in relevant areas of specialization from a reputable University; in addition to membership of professional bodies. (b) Have at least Two (2) years post-qualification teaching and research experience in an analogous institution of higher learning and have at least two (2) refereed publications in their areas of specialization.

Skills Required/Qualification

• Knowledge of climate systems, atmospheric processes, climate variability, and climate change. • Competence in climate data analysis, modelling, GIS, remote sensing, and statistical techniques. • Research and academic writing skills. • Effective teaching and student mentoring abilities. • Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
