Job Description

Teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Theoretical Physics, conducts advanced research, supervises student projects and theses, publishes scholarly work, and contributes to curriculum development. The Senior Lecturer also leads research in areas such as quantum mechanics, relativity, particle physics, and mathematical physics, while participating in departmental administration, academic leadership, and scientific collaboration.

Job Specification/Requirement

• PhD in Theoretical Physics, Physics, Mathematical Physics, or a closely related field. • Several years of university teaching and research experience. • Strong record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. • Experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. • Evidence of contribution to academic leadership and professional service. • Must satisfy the university’s requirements for appointment as Senior Lecturer.

Skills Required/Qualification

• Strong knowledge of theoretical physics, including quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, electrodynamics, and relativity. • Competence in advanced mathematical methods used in physics. • Proficiency in scientific computing and programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C/C++). • Research, academic writing, and publication skills. • Ability to develop and analyze theoretical models of physical systems. • Effective teaching, supervision, and mentoring abilities. • Good organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
