Job Description
The Associate Professor of Sustainability and Development Studies supports the advancement of teaching, research, and community engagement within the discipline. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting high-quality research, supervising student research projects, publishing scholarly work, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in departmental and university governance. The Associate Professor also promotes interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable development and contributes to addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges through research and outreach activities.
Job Specification/Requirement
• PhD in Sustainability and Development Studies, Sustainable Development, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. • Rank of Associate Professor or eligibility for promotion to the rank of Associate Professor in accordance with university regulations. • Strong record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. • Evidence of successful research activities and scholarly contributions. • Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate students. • Membership of relevant professional associations is desirable
