Support the advancement of teaching, research, and community engagement in Energy and Resource Economics. The Associate Professor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, publishing scholarly work, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting policy and industry engagement in areas related to energy, natural resources, and sustainable development

Job Specification/Requirement

• PhD in Energy Economics, Resource Economics, Environmental Economics, Economics, or a closely related field. • Rank of Associate Professor or eligibility for appointment as Associate Professor in accordance with university statutes. • Strong record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. • Evidence of successful research project participation and grant acquisition. • Significant teaching and postgraduate supervision experience. • Demonstrated contribution to academic administration and service. • Professional experience in energy policy, resource management, or sustainability-related fields is an advantage.

Skills Required/Qualification

• Strong knowledge of energy and resource economics. • Proficiency in economic analysis, econometrics, and quantitative research methods. • Research, publication, and grant proposal development skills. • Knowledge of energy systems, sustainability, and natural resource management • Effective teaching and curriculum development abilities. • Student supervision and mentoring skills. • Policy analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
